My responsibilities included coordinating meetings, preparing reports, communicating with clients, organizing travel, and finding solutions whenever unexpected problems appeared. The work was demanding, but I took pride in doing it well. My salary also helped support my mother and younger brother, so having a stable position meant more to me than a line on my résumé.
Still, I gradually realized that I had allowed work to occupy almost every part of my life. I often stayed late, answered messages after office hours, and rearranged personal plans whenever something urgent appeared on the schedule. I believed being dependable meant always being available.
