It’s one of the most unsightly things you can find at home. The problem is that behind these black stains that take possession of joints between the tiles and silicone gaskets there is a health risk, especially if you are asthmatic or allergic.

No matter how many times you clean the bathroom, mold is always around the corner. This part of our home tends to be hot and humid all the time, creating a perfect environment for the proliferation of fungi and mold, especially when it is not ventilated enough.

In this article we suggest 8 tricks to eliminate mold from the bathroom forever, avoiding chemicals that are also harmful to health and the environment.

Baking soda. It is very helpful in absorbing moisture. Pour two tablespoons of baking soda into a bottle filled with hot water and spray directly on the mold stains. Use a toothbrush to scrub on the stains and then rinse.

Vinegar. Unlike baking soda, it is best to apply it directly to the mold and without diluting it, so that it does not lose its acidic concentration. Let the vinegar sit for a few minutes, then use a toothbrush to scrub vigorously until any traces of mold are removed.

Boric acid. Also known as borax, it is a powder capable of eliminating bad odors and which has a powerful antifungal action. The appropriate proportion to eliminate mold is one glass of borax per liter of water. Apply directly to the mold and leave to act for a few minutes. Remember to wear gloves and a mask and keep windows open while using borax.
